Wellbody Wellbeing was founded by Bonnie Bacon-Aills in 1997. Having grown up in Boulder, CO, Bonnie experienced many different forms of "alternative therapies." This awareness helped her realize the connection between the mind, body and spirit at an early age.
Upon moving to the Capitol area she was intrigued by the fast-paced lifestyle. After spending interesting and educational years in corporate America, Bonnie was reunited with her calling. Her vision was to open a Massage Therapy practice with a professional yet gentle and nurturing environment.
The Del Ray area of Alexandria was becoming known for its quaint main street and community feel, which was the perfect setting for the practice.
Over the years, Wellbody Wellbeing and the Del Ray community have grown and prospered. Bonnie looks forward to many more years promoting the benefits of Massage Therapy and Bodywork and hopes to educate future generations in the process.

All of the Massage Therapists at Wellbody Wellbeing are trained and certified in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage. These two techniques are the foundation for most therapeutic massage sessions. As it is a licensure requirement, Massage Therapists continue their education and training in additional bodywork modalities throughout their careers.
Our therapists are trained in a variety of modalities, such as:
• Cranio-Sacral Therapy
• Neuromuscular Therapy
• Active/Isolated Stretching Technique
• Advanced Pregnancy Massage
• Sports Massage
• Thai Yoga Massage
• Reiki energy work
Generally, a Massage Therapist will use the additional techniques and skills they are trained in to enhance their sessions. Each Massage Therapist and massage session is unique. You and your therapist will discuss your needs and concerns in detail before your session to be sure that the appropriate techniques are used.
Payment by cash, check, VISA and MasterCard.
